Saigon Mobilier International

Established in 1988 in Vietnam, SMI is a proud French-Vietnamese company crafting exquisite high-end furniture for the global market. From humble beginnings producing classic furniture, we’ve evolved into creators of contemporary masterpieces, blending traditional French techniques with modern design sensibilities.

At the heart of our story is a passion for craftsmanship passed down through generations. Founder Georges Waché, hailing from a family of antique dealers, embarked on a journey to Asia to bring 18th-century French style furniture to life. In Vietnam, he established a haven for skilled artisans, each a master in their respective fields – from cabinet making to metalworking, sculpting to tapestry.

Today, SMI is more than just a company; it’s a thriving community. Our craftsmen, many with over three decades of experience, reside in a purpose-built village, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity. Over the years, we’ve transitioned from crafting classics to defining our own distinctive style, shaped by the dedication and innovation of two generations.

Central to our ethos is the belief in creating unique value through design and collaboration. Our factory serves as a creative hub, where designers and craftsmen work hand in hand, experimenting with materials and techniques to push the boundaries of furniture design. This fusion of expertise and creativity gives our creations a distinct identity, inviting our customers to explore new trends and elevate their spaces.
